I have no idea why this stroller is not carried in more stores or more widely known. Background - We already have a full-sized jogger that stays parked at home, and wanted to find something that would work for Travel, for errands around town, restaurants etc.My BW ('Beautiful Wife' for those of you new to the wonderfully cheesy world of online baby review nomenclature) was sure that she wanted an umbrella stroller. Something easy to fold up and throw in the trunk, something narrow and easy to get around not just the crowded sidewalks of Santa Monica, but inside the restaurants and shops too. She sees all these Uppa G-luxe and Maclarens and they all look like rickety crud to me. The wheels are so tiny, the baskets underneath are mostly useless, and when folded, the umbrella stroller is generally too long to fit length-wise even in our station wagon trunk. Moreover, only a select few umbrellas will take a carseat.Move up to the ubiquitous City Mini-- solves a lot of these problems, but... it's wider and bulkier than most umbrellas. Also, I was constantly kicking the rear axle on the City Mini. And there are complaints about not sitting upright enough, no adjustment to the leg-rest etc. (Can't beat the easy fold though!)Enter the Babyhome Emotion, from Barcelona. It looks great. It's solidly built, and smooth pushing. Good Storage space, easy fold, compact and narrow. We bought the travel backpack to take on a flight--worked great!. Bought the carseat adapter and it works as a travel system. This is an urban stroller, not all-terrain. It's taller smooth wheels are great in the city and easier on curbs than the little wheel on the Uppa and other umbrellas. The wheels can be locked and are okay in a park, on gravel or grass. It pushes easily through sand patches on the sidewalks around the beach. This stroller weighed 15.8 lbs on my scale. This is a few pounds heavier than an ultralight umbrella, but slightly lighter than the Britax B-agile and City mini. The Maclaren Triumph is their lightest with recline, it weighed 13lbs on my scale. Ditto the excellent Inglesina Swift and Peg Pliko Mini. For our usage, the 3 pounds extra is well worth it.Initially when we bought the car-seat adapter I contacted Babyhome with questions. They replied promptly.Pros:1.Narrow/Slim design fits easily in restaurants and aisles. Sleeker and narrower than City Mini.2. Ultra-smooth gliding push thanks to Rollerblade-type wheels3. Wheels taller than most umbrella-stroller wheel, allowing an easier time with curbs and uneven terrain4. Excellent fit/finish and materials. This is no rickety ride. More stable and sturdy than any umbrella I tested by a wide margin.5. Easy to open and close, Stands when folded!6. Great for travel: Compact when folded, not too long like an umbrella. Fits into a durable custom backpack/Carry-bag7. Car-seat compatible!- accepts Graco/Maxi-Cosi/Cybex car-seats with adapter. Very few strollers this small/light can do this8. Clever easy to use 1-handed recline mechanism, from nearly flat to fully upright9. Adjustable leg-rest10. Peekaboo in canopy has magnets and clear plastic viewing panel11. Basket underneath is relatively large and easy to access, even when reclined.12. No kicking the rear bar (its Elevated out of the way) - I'm 6'4 and can walk full speed with Zero problems. Also allows very close shuffling (as in mall).13. Sandal-friendly single break-pedal.14. Comes with an easy-to attach fitted mesh screen and fitted rain shield15. Fully padded single handle bar, not the pistol-grips found on umbrella strollers16. Seat material is high-quality, well padded and deep to accommodate a tall child.Cons:1. Folding requires 2 hands.2. When folded, the seat material faces out3. Handlebar height is not adjustable, but works for me at 6'4" and wife at 5'4"4. Canopy is fixed (does not "follow the sun") and relatively small.5. Harness requires "re-threading" to adjust as baby grows taller. (Britax B-agile has a clever solution here)6. Recline does not go all the way flat-stops about 30 deg short of flat.Summary:Nearly perfect as a stroller for your car, or for travel. Better over-all than any mid-sized umbrella or other lightweight stroller I could find, unless you need all-terrain function. This is an urban stroller extraordinaire. Because it reclines nearly flat and can take a carseat, it can be used as a sole stroller, no snap-n-go needed. That said, we keep a full-sized stroller parked at home for jogging, beach use and the general convenience of a larger stroller. The Emotion shines in the city or crowded places where its narrow lines and sleek profile matter most. For this reason we chose it over the City Mini, City GT, Valco Snap, and assorted other umbrellas ranging from Maclaren to Inglesina to Bumbleride Flite to Uppa baby G-luxe.Bottom line: unless you absolutely need something ultralight that you expect to carry a lot, or require a 1-handed fold, this stroller provides an amazing range of functionality, in a footprint no bigger than an umbrella, with style and quality to spare.

22 of 24 people found the following review helpful.I am one of those moms that likes to test out every new baby product on the market. Since I was pregnant, I love researching and trying out baby gear. The Emotion stroller by BabyHome is hands down my favorite lightweight / umbrella stroller on the market. I don't understand why one reviewer said the frame looks cheap - the frame MAKES this stroller! It has an aluminum frame that not only makes it light, it makes it incredibly strong and durable. Aluminum is much stronger of a material than most strollers are made of, and it adds to the sleek styling of this stroller.Design: The frame is unlike any other stroller on the market, it looks like a cool woman walking on four-inch stilettos in the way it leans slightly back. The colors pop in vivid shades of bright blue which is the one that I have. I literally have people stopping me every where I go asking me about this stroller!!!Ease of Use The wheels of the Emotion are made of the polyurethane that make up roller-blade wheels. The stroller basically glides rather than needing to be pushed. And this is coming from someone who had an UppaBaby Vista which is a great stroller to push. Pushing this stroller is easy; it rolls effortlessly even when the basket is overloaded. Best yet, the stroller features a bar instead of the double stroller curved handles that are the signature on most umbrella strollers. The bar is padded, so it is comfortable to hold and can be pushed with only one hand.Light-weight: Unlike the current stroller trend of making increasingly heavier strollers, the Emotion is made from an aluminum frame making it extremely light. However, do not confuse light with breakable. Aluminum is extremely strong and supportive without adding extra weight.Folding and Breaking: Folding the stroller is as easy as pressing in one button and then pushing up two buttons. The entire process takes less than five seconds, and the stroller folds into a very small and compact space. The Emotion features an easy to press foot-break on the right side of the stroller that is extremely easy to access.Comfortable: The stroller has a comfortable padding and an easy recline feature that allows the baby to lay down while just pulling on a tab. To move the seat back to an elevated position, you simply pull on a strap. The foot rest can be moved from a 45 degree angle for older children to straight with the seat for a younger or napping baby.Weatherproof: The Emotion comes with a rain cover that not only covers the seat, but also shields the entire basket. In addition, a mosquito net is provided. The only downside to the Emotion is that the canopy does not come down further. Coming from a Vista I am used to a canopy that basically covers the entire seat of the stroller! I bought a snooze-shade and use that when my son is sleeping as it is very sunny in California.Stroller console - I recommend a stroller console with a curved velcro attachment feature like the Britax one. It is easy to access and allows me to be able to put down my phone, keys, drink, etc.I like this stroller so much I just got my mom one in purple! Lastly this stroller is very sturdy unlike a Maclaren that will tip if a purse is on the back and the child is not in the seat. The stroller pushes just fine when I am holding my son and pushing the stroller with my diaper bag.

5 of 6 people found the following review helpful.I have used Graco and Britax strollers in the past. I had never heard of Babyhome before but it had a European look to it. Living in Europe for 13 years, I was interested in it.Once I put it together, I had flashbacks of Germany, where I lived the most. The stroller would fit right in on shopping trips in cities in Germany where you need a narrow stroller. That is the first thing you will notice, it is very narrow. However, do not let that fool you. It is very attractive. If does not have all the bells and whistles we rely on here in the US like cup holder for the child, cup holder for the adult, or a tray across the child not just for food but for toys. Granted you have a big bin area beneath the stroller but having one holder or tray would come in handy. You get a lot of extra features with the stroller but I have not had to use them, such as a rain cover. What I like about the stroller is how easily it rolls. You will be amazed at how well it turns and pushes. So much ease you will feel like you are not even pushing it. Turns are a breeze, turns with the slightest movement. It is very thin, I love this. It is so narrow I can push it through a crowded area with no problem. It had one break pedal that locks both of the back wheels, love this. It is very easy to use. I love having the magnetic flap where you can see your child that is nice and gives you a piece of mind. I also love that the hood locks into place. On other strollers I have not had this and on a windy day the hood will fly all over the place. It is nice to know it is locked. Once I am done with it, I can fold it and place it in the trunk of my Mazda 3 in about 60 seconds. With the wheels in the back, it takes up only about a 4th of my trunk which is not much room at all. This is what I do not like about the stroller: I dislike the harness so much! It is not well thought out and is not safe if you ask me. The shoulder straps fall off easily and they harness snaps into the bottom. I wish it was dual function where you could use a lap belt or if it even had an chest strap over it. The harness on this stroller is the worse I have ever used. With it being so lightweight, my 40 pound 2 ½ year old daughter likes to move in the stroller when on walks. With any movement at all, the stroller starts to go left and right with the movement of the child. If they do not move, it would work perfectly. Last, it does not appear to be washable. There is a cardboard part where the feet are. In the manual there are no instructions on how to clean the stroller, only care for the mechanisms on it. You will need a stroller liner if you want to keep it clean which can add another $50 to the price. Last, the wheels are terrible. I prefer double wheels but even with single wheels, like the Britax strollers, the wheels are much bigger in the back than the front. The wheels on this one are all the same. If you get near mud, it does go down. Also, before folding it away, I always wipe the wheels off because once you fold it up, the wheels rest up against the seat area. Poor design again as the wheels are going to get the chair and foot area filthy!Even though there are a lot of negatives, it is a great stroller. It is the one I now keep in my trunk, with cleaning wipes, and love how light it is and easy to fold. If you can handle the cons, this might be the stroller for you.
