It is well made, was SUPER easy to put on (and take off again) and provides soft, airy and well-ventilated protection from bugs as well as harsh light (perfect for the summer baby!). Just absolutely fantastic and makes the cradle so much more versatile--this is ideal for being out on the porch, etc. Canopy takes less than a second to remove when I want to use the cradle next to our bed at night. I am SO happy we spent the extra money to get the canopy and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone getting the cradle.
